The World Congress of Sports Physical Therapy (WCSPT) will be back to Bern, capital of Switzerland, for the 2nd time on December 4th-5th 2026. The Swiss Sports Physiotherapy Association (SSPA) is organizing again (after the 1st edition in 2015) the WCSPT in cooperation with the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy (IFSPT), recently renamed International Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy Association (ISEPA).
The 6th edition of the WCSPT will showcase the worldwide evolution of sports PT in the last decade and project our profession into a future full of challenges: how to integrate optimally and implement scientific and empiric knowledge, new technologies, artificial intelligence (and more) in the management of our athletes regardless of their level of sport. Moreover, important topics such as physical activity, safeguarding and underrepresentation in sports PT will also have a key part in the conference programme. The WCSPT 2026 will take place at the new Bernexpo, featuring an impressive line-up of 40 speakers representing 21 countries from all continents.
